Book Review

Hey Parents!  Pastor Steve here. 

I wanted you to know that we are highlighting a book in the Senior High Ministry this month called Dateable: Are you? Are they?  by Justin Lookadoo and Hayley DiMarco.  This book is excellent and I highly recommend it!  Don’t let the title scare you – the book isn’t written to encourage dating in high school but to help students understand important things about the opposite sex and how to relate to them.  Topics like: high school dating relationships don’t last, how do guys really feel and think and what are girls thinking when guys are with them.  The book also helps students who are already dating, or in a relationship, evaluate the health of that relationship.  Dateable would be a great tool for you to use to break the ice and talk to your teenager about the opposite sex – and as parents of teenagers we all know how fun that can be!  I am planning on using it with my 16 year old son.  Dateable is available in the Senior High room at the Welcome Center for just $5.
