WHAT HAPPENS ONE MINUTE AFTER YOU SAY YES TO JESUS

A New Hope Realized:
Read Romans 8:1-2 in the New Living Translation.

By accepting Christ into our lives, what are we now freed from?

According to Galatians 5:1, what has Christ given us? In response, what are we to do?

Do you live like someone who is free?

2 Corinthians 3:17-18 provides a good biblical definition of sanctification. Read the verses and write down what you think sanctification is.

From whom does sanctification come?

Sanctification is the current transformation taking place within us through the Holy
Spirit’s power to make us more and more like Christ, as we neglect our flesh’s desires
and embrace what our new self desires.

Romans 8:29 tells us we were predestined to be conformed to what?

Are you keeping your eyes on Jesus, the perfect example we are to emulate? What else has been catching your attention lately?

Since we have received this new hope, what does Galatians 4:9 admonish us not to do?

Are there any areas in your life that still need to be transformed through Christ’s power? Why are you holding these areas back from Him?

Meditate in prayer for five minutes, asking God to reveal areas of your life that still need
to be transformed. Confess these areas to Him, and ask Him to work on softening your
heart to enable you to forsake these things.
